From your initial enquiry, Tarnie will discuss your wedding visions and provide you with a large selection of ceremony locations, from world class beaches to stunning private hinterland venues. She will align you with your chosen team of professional Vendors & ensue your dream day in paradise unfolds perfectly. She will guide you along the planning path, giving you restaurant/reception venue recommendations & will always be available for any questions you have. On the day she will greet you with a calming energy and oversee the flow of the day. We work with only the most talented local Wedding Vendors, who also happen to be really nice humans, bringing the perfect energy to the your whole day!

For those truly intimate elopements with just the two of you and no guests, we are your Bridal Party, Hype Team, Witnesses and Bag Holders!! We will hold your dog leads & keep your champagne on ice!! We are experts at reading Weather Apps and know all about tides, winds and swell... it's helpful to have a frothing Surfer on the team!!
Established in 2016 - Hitched in Paradise was born from an idea of providing intimate yet stylish marriage ceremonies, for those who didn't want to invest in a big wedding. Its co-founder Benjamin Carlyle, a popular Marriage Celebrant in the Gold Coast to Byron Bay region, was witnessing the movement of many modern couples choosing to Elope up here in paradise. Benjamin teamed up with his gorgeous wife Tarnie, who has 20 years experience in co-ordination, design & events. Tarnie comes from a creative background in the Film and T.V. Industry, working directly alongside A-list stars, her organisational skills are guru status and she has a wonderful calming nature when the pressure cooker fires up! Tarnie has also worked with an Event Company in Port Douglas who delivered wildly creative gala dinner & show events set amongst the rainforest at private venues.
Tarnie and Ben are a super happily married couple, loving life with their two healthy and adventurous boys. And Panda the wonder dog in their home on the Tweed Coast.
